George Rhodes born around 1816 gives Tong as his birthplace in the 1851 and 1861 censuses. His wife is variously Eliza, Elza and Bessy Worsmun.Their children were born in Tong except George my great great grandfather who was born in Halifax in 1850. Was/is Tong part of Pudsey? Any help appreciated.

Harry took on a tenancy after working for the person that owned Ravenscliff Farm, Holme Lane, Tong. He married Edith Duffill on 15th May 1915, she was b.1895 and from Middlesborough. They had one child Clara b.13th Feb 1916. Harry was born in Pudsey and was one of 12 children born to Isaac Western and Grace Stephenson. Does anyone know any more detail on the rest of the sibblings. Clara Western worked for a Dressmaking Pattern factory before she married Thomas Hubbard at Bradford Cathedral on 23rd Sept 1939. They moved to London after that.

Lennett Hinton was born in Tong in 1889. He is there in the 1901 census but nothing can be found after that, in BMD, WW1 records or Elliss Islands sites. Where did he go, and when? Any help would be appreciated.

Looking for information on Adam Saville and his wife Mary who moved to Tong in the 1850s with their son John (other children Fred, Hannah, Joseph, Clara born in Tong). Census information gives Mary (born about 1827) and John (born about 1852) as born in Denholme, Adam (born about 1824) in either Denholme or Wilsden. Anyone know anything about them before they moved to Tong? If anyone wants info on the family from after about 1853, I might be able to help.

My Great Grandfather Isaac Western a Woodman at Tong Hall. Tong now Bradford/ Married Grace Dinah Ianson in 1826 at Spatley Church Nr Hull Yorkshire they had seven sons and two daughters Later moved to Roker Lane in Pudsy . He died around 1920 aged 94 Grace passed away at age 84.

My Great g g Grandparents James and Martha Broadbent nee West, lived at tong village. In 1857 a son martin was born at westgate hill tong, I know very little about James and Martha but through Martin have managed to trace a direct line down to my self I would be very pleased to learn if Martin had any siblings and of any other people who descend from James and Martha.
