looking for any info on the STONE family. JOSUHA born circa 1796 married MARY ANN LAWSON 1814 at Badsworth church. They had, I believe 10 children all born in Snaith. They came to Pontefract with two MARGARET (my direct ancestor) & GEORGE where they are listed on the 1841 Census. JOSHUA died before the 1851 & MARGARET is living away in Rochdale, but comes back to Pontefract. What happened to the children they left behind, did any marry? any help gratfully received, thanks

I am researching history on my mothers family, DIXON of West Cowick. William Dixon was born there in 1808, and his father is also recorded as having been there, as a farmer as of 1822. William DIXON of 1808 is my great-great-great-grandfather who emigrated to Canada with his family and wife Harriet DENBY, also born reputedly in Cowick in 1812.
