Hello, I am a descendant of Henry WINTERBOTTOM aged 48 in 1841 and Hannah (WHITEHEAD) aged 46 in 1841 who were married 4th January 1821 in St Chads Church, Saddleworth. According to the 1841 census for Hey Top, Saddleworth (HO 107/1279/3) their children were, Mary age 19, Robert age 17, Hannah age 14, John age 12, Henry age 10, Caleb age 7 and Thomas age 5. Does anyone have information about the families of Henry and Hannah (senior) and their children - where they lived or where they married, please? red mail Mary Lyon about 1795 / Saddleworth
Looking for Mary Lyon born in Yorkshire about 1795 (probably West Riding). She married Benjamin Wrigley and is shown living at Wood Brook, Delph, Saddlworth, with her husband and 9 children on the 1841 census (William b 1819; John b abt 1826; Samuel b abt 1826; Less b 1827; Miles b abt 1829; Joseph b abt 1832; Mary (Ann) b abt 1835; Elijah b abt 1837; Lucy b 11 Jan 1839.) A furthur child, Watts (abt 1844) is shown on the 1851 census The IGI shows that William and Lees were baptised in Springhead Providence Independent Church. However, I have so far been unable to locate Mary and Benjamin's marriage there or elsewhere. Nor can I find any other Lyons in the same area in the 1841 census.
