Halton Street, Featherstone
Is anyone familiar with the housing on Halton Street, Featherstone? Father says he was born at no.1, but when we went he pointed out the house, situated on the corner with ?Featherstone Road? which was not no.1. The said no.1 was at the start of the terrace on the left. He said his father had shown him where he was born some years ago, and he'd pointed to the corner house. Would anyone know? This would be 1923 and the family name in the house was Ward, as they (Knight) were lodging there at the time of his birth. The Wards had 4 children and a 5th in 1923 also, making 4 adults and 6 children.
