Hi I am researching the family tree of my fathers side , I am looking for the marrage of John Armitage and his wifes maiden name she was called Mary ,Mary his in the 1851 census with 6 children and 1861 census with 8 children one who his Amelie Ann who marred Wlilliam Haigh who whoe,s daugter Clara was my grandmother .Anyway John his not on the census with his wife Mary. I found his name by one of his sons babtisem but his wifes maiden name his not on so i am at a brick wall all the chidren were born in Almonbury which was allso Berrybrow Yorkshire if some one could find Mary that would be great I will carry on searching Thank You . His father was John b. 1787, m. Anne, had Sarah 1831, Seth 1833 (my g.g.grandparents),Ruth 1835, Mary 1839. All their children born in Victoria.

My grandfather William Shaw was born 23 Ausgust 1839 in either Almondbury or Huddersfield. William was a grocer in Ashton_under_Lyne where he married Mary Farrand in 1860. Between 1860 and 1863 came to Australia. His fathers name was Matthew Shaw born about 1805 in Hudersfield. Any information about William or Matthew would be appreciated.

Thomas RAYNOR (born 1806 Marsden) married Mary MOORHOUSE in Almondbury parish church in 1831. Thomas jnr was the son of Thomas (woollen weaver) and Mary nee MOORHOUSE. His wife Mary was the daughter of Philip annd Mary MOORHOUSE nee FRANCE. Thomas jnr and Mary's children were Hannah (b1831) William (b 1833) John (b1838) Thomas (b1840) later a joiner, Edwin(b1843), Henry (b1845), Mary (b1849) and Ann(b1850) I am descended from Thomas (b1840). I am searching for information on or descendants of his siblings.
