Staithes- Longster Family
My father researched his family tree back to 1719. My Great Great Grandfather Richard and Grandmother Dinah had nine children of which we follow the line from their sons, brothers Richard 1867 and John Francis 1858. Looking for further information on the origins of William MEAD, tailor at Staithes, who married Mary HARRISON at Hinderwell parish church on 25 May 1795. They had at least three children who survived into adulthood: Mary (b1796), Francis (b1805) and Hannah (b1810). A combination of IGI and 1851 census information indicates that he was born in Danby parish, probably at Glaisdale, and that he was baptised at Egton on 30 August 1767, the son of Robert MEAD. If anyone has any information or can help in any way in tracing William, or descendants of his siblings (John, Elizabeth and Mary), I'd love to hear from you!
