I am seeking further information on Robert Masterman born in Masham in 1814 to William and Ellen Masterman. In the 1840s he moved to Leeds. He was a smith and owned property. He is believed to have died in 1864 as a result of a shooting incident a year previously. He had a sister Elizabeth (born 1806). He married Rhoda Ann Wallis in 1847. Did he have more brothers and sisters? We know little about his parents and are uncertain about the incident which caused his premature death.
