red mail Francis Peacock KIRBY and brother Jesse KIRBY farmers 1890s onwards
I am searching for the death/burial of Francis Peacock KIRBY (born 1858 Thirkleby) and his wife Eleanor Mary (nee COATES) who moved to Huntington during the 1890s where they farmed Home Farm. Sons were Joseph KIRBY (later became a grocer in Clifton) and Albert KIRBY (may have taken over Home Farm for a time). Also Francis's youngest brother Jesse KIRBY (b 1860 Thirkleby died 9 June 1924, possibly Norton Yorkshire) resided by 1891 in Huntington and farmed Mille Crux Farm. He was a widower with a young son, Lancelot Carver KIBY. What happened to Lancelot? Where did Jesse actually die and where is he buried? Where was Mille Crux Farm? I know where the farmhouse that was associated with Home Farm is. The family were active in the Methodist Church in Huntington.

red mail Thomas R. COATES - b Huntington abt 1855
I am trying to find any records other than census regarding Thomas R. COATES, born about 1855 in Huntington, living with an uncle Thomas SMITHSON and his wife Jane from 1861 census at least. He became a joiner/carpenter. His marriage certificate (28 Oct 1878, St. Thomas, York to Mary Dixon) lists his father as Joseph COATES, stonemason. I have been unable to find any reference to a birth registration for Thomas, nor to death registrations in the appropriate period for a Joseph COATES. A Joseph COATES was living with wife Elizabeth and baby George in the 1851 census in Falsgrave, nr. Scarborough. Any help with this conundrum would be welcome
