red mail Brompton (Northallerton)
My great great grandfather George Todd was born somewhere in Yorkshire circa 1758. George married twice. His first marriage was to Elizabeth Tyreman at Osmotherley PC, 10 May 1785. They had seven children: all baptised at Brompton (Northallerton) Parish Church. Elizabeth 1786 (died l802 aged 16 years), Robert 1787, William 1789, George 1791, Nathaniel 1793, Benjamin 1794 and Thomas Todd 1797-died 1798. Elizabeth, George's wife, was buried at Brompton PC on 9 August 1798. George's second marriage, from whom I am descended, was to the widow Ann Leng at Brompton PC on 21 August 1803. There were four children from this marriage: John 1803, Joseph 1805, Mary 1808 and David Todd (my great grandfather)1810. Again, they were all baptised at Brompton PC. Mary Todd (1808) married John Sedgewick at Brompton PC on 15.12.1827. In 1840 they lived in America. I would be interested in hearing from anyone descended from this tree but my real interest is in trying to find gt gt grandfather, George Todd's baptism. George died 1.2.1842 aged 83 years ll months and was buried at Brompton.
