John Dean, born Hull, about 1867.
Searching for the name of John Dean's mother. John Dean was born in Hull, about 1867 and was the son of Thomas Dean ( also of Hull). On John's marriage certificate, his father was named Thomas, a labourer. I have been unable to find John Dean in the 1871 or 1881 censuses when he would have been living with his parents and would have been about 4 years of age, and 14 years of age, respectively. According to information in the 1891 census, John was born about 1866/7. I haven't found his birth record yet, and I am not aware of any siblings. John Dean married Jane Ann Penrose in 1887, in Hull. I hope that someone will be able to tell me who John's mother was as I haven't been able to find a record of Thomas Dean marrying anyone. Thomas Dean was born about 1841, so a marriage would have probably taken place somewhere between about 1863 and 1867, unless,of course, John's parents didn't marry. Thanks.

red mail Ohlenroth
Searching for any descendants of Henry Otto Ohlenroth, born 1883, in 1901 living at 74 Alexandra Road and working as a debt collectors clerk. I believe he may have moved to Lancashire around 1910. Henry had an older brother Frederick born in 1875 and a sister Gertrude born 1888, I have been unable to find any trace of them so far. There was a sister Alice who died age 14 in 1892 and a brother Bertram who died aged 1 in 1885. Henry's father (also Henry, a master mariner) was at a different number in Alexandra Road in 1916 and a street off Beverley Road near the junction with Cottingham Road in the 1930's. Does anyone have elderley relatives who remember master mariner Henry? He would have been in his mid 80's during the 1930's.

red mail Leaf family
Looking for any information on the Leaf family. Ada Leaf of Hull married American Sea Captain - Nathaniel Harris in 1854 moved to Liverpool.
I'm looking for information on Thomas Middleton Crackles and Selina Taylor. The birth of their children lists the father as Thomas Middleton Crackles, but the closest thing I can find to a marriage record is the IGI marriage record listing Thomas Middleton and Selina Taylor on 18 FEB 1827 Sutton in Holderness Yorkshire England. Selina Taylor's father was James Taylor. She was born in Kingston Upon Hull in 1810 & Christened in Holy Trinity. There are two Thomas Crackles listed born in Kingston Upon Hull in the IGI, but having been christened in 1814, would only have been 14 years old when they got married... Anyone have any ideas where I can look next?
