red mail Stockholm Farm
Hello, I'm looking for information about George Denison and family who had a farm between Hedon and Thorngumbald beginning sometime in the 1750s. George was born in Castleford and married to Mary Parkinson from Lincolnshire or the Isle of Axholme. My ancestor John left for Canada, Thomas became a Doctor in London and presumably George Junior kept the farm. I found a Yorkshire stray in the 1881 census in Lincolnshire - a George Denison from Hedon born 1812 who could be a grandson as bother George died in 1810.

Gowthorpe, Whitworth
Has anyone any information on John Whitworth who married Ann Gowthorpe at Hedon in 1775. Their daughter Ann married William Welsh, or Welch, at South Cave in 1803. I think they were Particular Baptists, what were they?
red mail Ellerton
William Wilson Ellerton moved from the North Riding to the East Riding sometime in the 1830's. He retired to Hedon and most of his family settled there. Are there any Ellerton descendants who would like to make contact with descendants of WW's sonFrederic Thomas? WW's daughter Frances married a Dean, and Frederic Thomas had several daughters who would have descendants possibly still living in the area.
