I am researching the Westerman who lived in Cottingham, Nr Hull in the early 1800s. I have come across a Hannah Westerman who was Christened 1813, married 1833. Parents Susanna and Christopher. Anyone have any info please?

Cottingham is where the rich Ringrose family lived, but I think we are from the normal end of society - perhaps not poor, but hardly rich! Thomas TODD, b. C1812 England married in Montreal,Canada in 1836 to Mary SEMPLE (C1816-1858). Married again in 1860 to Bridget LAWLER (b.Ireland C1835). Cannot trace Thomas after 1861. Was he the son of Christopher Todd & Mary ? of Cottingham,Yorks? who had several children, incl. Jane, b.C1807,Thomas, b.1812, Arthur, b.1815, all Cottingham. Thomas named his first born son Christopher (1837 Montreal). Appreciate any help with this brick wall!

His father was Thomas COTTON (born in Butterwick Lincolnshire about 1822) and his mother Elizabeth nee AGAR, (born in Cottinham possibly also 1822). Believe that Elizabeth's mother was Sarah AGAR. Family lived in New Village area of Cottingham for many years in 19th Century. Any information much appreciated.

Cottingham appears to have the home of the Bamford family. Charles (Snr) was a Merchant, who when he died in 1860 left his estate to his eldest son (Charles Jnr) who was then still a student at Cambridge University. At the age of 25 Charles (jnr) purchased Impington Hall, which was just outside of Cambridge, but appears to have been later forced to sell up because of his debts. Does anybody known anything about the Bamfords?

Looking for Robert MILBOURN/MILBURN who married Ann BULLOCK 1795 Rowley near Hull. They were in Corringham Lincs by 1805.He was buried in Springthorpe age 88 in 1844 so born circa 1765.Ann BULLOCK was born about 1765 in Swanland East Yorks according to the 1851 census.The only baptism found For a Robert MILBOURN was “Robert bastard child of Mary MILBOURNE” baptised 1760 Cottingham but there was a Benjamin and Mary MILBOURN (nee REED) married 1845 Brantingham who had children at Cottingham around that time. Robert and Ann’s 2nd child was called Benjamin so if they weren’t Robert's parents they were probably close relatives.Looking for anyone researching MILBOURN/MILBURN in East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire
