red mail John William POCKNELL Princes Street, St. Pancras 1838
Seeking information and contact with descendants of John William POCKNELL born 1817 at St. Martin in the Fields London son of a John POCKNELL and Harriet PERRIS. He married an Eliza HUMPHREY on 21/5/1838 at St.Pancras, London. I descend from John's illegitimate son John William CARON (born 1852), the mother was a Julia CARON. John William junior was later named PATTERSON as the actual father's name was not used. I suppose this was to protect this fact from being known. Also John William POCKNELL and wife Eliza stayed married as divorce was not a preferred option. John and Julia also produced another child Elizabeth Harriett Juliet born in 1850. Seeking any information or old photos too. Much appreciated Cheers, Rob
