Brown - Servant Putney area 1940's
I have a photo of my grandmother Ida Tucker along with her friends, Violet Cracknell and Bert Brown, it was taken sometime late 1930' - early 1950's when they travelled down to Hampshire to visit with Ida's brother Arthur, who ran a store at Shirrell Heath. I think Ida, Violet and Bert worked together or knew of each other through their work, Ida being a cook and housekeeper in Putney, around the Upper Richmond Road area 1940's. Can anyone please help with more information, I presume Bert's full name was Albert Brown, being a common name it is proving hard to follow up. Grand daughter of Ida trying to put peices of family history into place.

My great aunt, Louisa Sessions/Cross, was on stage even with Gertrude Lawrence but I cannot find any information about the theatres, types of show etc. etc. She did at some point travel to New York with the "troupe" and was on stage there but that is family gossip and I am unable to trace that either. red mail Strange,John Shaw
John Shaw Strange was b1788-1792 in Warwickshire perhaps Harbury. He was married to Mary ? and had 4 children, one child I believe could be Thomas Shaw Strange. John was involved with the Cato Street Conspiracy in 1820 in London. He was transported for Life to New South Wales,Australia. He married again in 1829 to Jane Baylis and had a further 10 children. In 1822 there was an application for his first wife and children to be brought to NSW but the outcome is not known. It may have been refused or she may have chosen not to travel. I am interested in tracing the family left behind in London. The only clue I have found is a marriage in 1847 between Thomas Shaw Strange and Elizabeth Rigg at St.Brides Parish,West London. Thomas could be a son of John Shaw Strange. Can anyone help or advise?
