red mail Harry Nicholas
I am looking for any information relating to Harry Nicholas. Harry was born in 1872 in Bishops Castle, Shropshire. His parents were Robert and Martha Nicholas also born in Bishops Castle. Harry was the second eldest of ten siblings. He married Rachel Davies in 1892 in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. He then lived in Chester, Cheshire with his wife and 3 children. On the 1911 Census he is listed as living in Braddan, Isle of Man, aged 39. Harry's profession was as a tailor. I would like to know if he had any family in the Isle of Man where he must have lived until his death on the 24 August 1942 aged 71 in the Braddan Imfirmary. Harry Nicholas was my mother's grandfather and she would welcome any further information relating to her family. Many thanks for reading this entry, it is greatly appreciated.

The family of John & Mary Ann Reid from Ireland is given in the 1841 IOM census, having moved from Athlone Barracks (Ireland) some time after he was dischaged from the army as Sgt John Reed in 1838. Mary Ann was actually born in Australia, and their son Edward in India. The family does not appear in the 1851 census, but in 1861 are living in Tottington Lower End, Bury (Lancashire). I would like to share information about this family and their descendants.
