Looking for info on Cornelius Wilson, father of John T. Wilson, who emigrated to Nova Scotia 1827-1833, married Nancy Toaz and then moved to Monroe Cty, NY abt 1851. John was baptized in Ballinderry by Moneymore if it's the right family. Parents were Cornelius and Sarah Clements Wilson (b. 1803 Ballinderry, Derry to Dalway and Margaret Clements).

Samuel Otterson born 1811 in Londonderry was the keeper of the public house on High St, Moneymore in mid 1800's. He married my aunt Mary McCauley in July of 1862 in Catholic church. He died of dysentery in 1866. Mary remarried one of the local constables Hugh O'Loan and they moved to Queensland Australia. Would like to find out what happened to the public house, who ran it after Samuel died and who Samuel's parent were. Anything about life in Moneymore at that time. Many thanks for any help. Joan

Looking for information on William and Mary Mclaren .their so Matthew Mclaren was lost in action at Arras in 1916. Commonwealth War Grave Commission give him as a son of William and Mary Maclaren of Moneymore C Londonderry. I cannot find any information on them on Cencus Records etc.

I am searching for JANE COLWELL, b. between 1760-1780 (most likely) and supposedly buried in the family plot at Moneymore. She married WILLIAM DOWNING and they had two sons 1. William Colwell Downing, b. between 1786-1804 2. James Downing, b. between 1798-1805 I believe it is most likely that she was born abt 1780, married abt 1800 and had their 1st son around 1801/2. Anyone having info on a COLWELL burial plot or any data on baptisms, marriages of COLWELL's of Moneymore, please reply. I'd be happy to share any info I have. Thank you

Dead end at Thomas William McCord b. abt 1848 in Moneymore, Londonderry, Ireland ,and Sarah Carlisle, his wife. They had at least two sons, Thomas William McCord - b Dec 17,1872 Moneymore, Londonderry, Ireland; died May 17, 1908 in Philadelphia, PA, USA. Thomas arrived at Ellis Island, NY on Nov 14, 1893. All I know is Thomas Jr. had a brother named Herbert. Any help is appreciated.

i am looking for information about the family of my great great grandmother mary martha mccord, born gilliland. she was born, and remained in co. tyrone but her younger brothers were born in co. derry. her father james gilliland was born in co. monaghan, and mother eliza jane hunter was born in co. tyrone. in the 1901 and 1911 censuses they are living in hammond street, moneymore, londonderry. i think i might have the names of their parents but am finding it hard to confirm whether they are right so any help will be much appreciated, thanks.

Hi Looking for descendants of the Magee / McGee family who originated in the Moneymore/ Ardtrea area of L'Derry/Tyrone. I am descended from Henry McGee who married Margaret Harris in 1804 Desertlyn Parish Church. The family stayed in the area, although my ggg grandfather Arthur Magee moved to Belfast and was last traced to Arkwright St off the Crumlin Road in 1877. Would like to hear from anyone who has connections to this family.

I had family in Ballymoyle and Druminard near Ballinderry Moneymore and am struggling with the family tree. The name McCullagh has finished in these areas so I would like to know if there are any distant families left. John McCullagh Druminard had family Mary married James Mooney Ballygillan 1860, Martha married Thomas Greer Ballymoyle.1861. I think he had a brother Arthur McCullagh Ballymoyle whose son John James married Isabella Adams Ardagh, daughter Isabella married Robert Taylor Moneymore 1869, daughter Mary married John Bell 1860 and son William married Elizabeth Greer Lanaglug Coagh Co. Tyrone 1868. William and Elizabeth were my greatgrandparents. If anyone can help? Thanks.

I have letters from Nancy Wilson dated 1878 to 1886 sent home to an Aunt Arabella Greer Ballymoyle from Hudson, Killingly Conn, Elm St.Putnam and Attawangain N. America. These mention her uncle James Greer in Hudson, she had brother's James and John in America .She visited her brother John in 1886 and he had 2 sons James and Dan.It would appear that she worked in CW Mill Congress, Crystallake Mills Hudson,Rock Mills Attawangain. I wonder if there are any of the Greer or Wilson families living in these areas now.??
CARSON John Andrew
Looking for links to John Andrew CARSON b 5 March 1841 in Moneymore, County Derry, Ireland. His parents were David Carson b abt 1810 Ireland and Mary Downing. John Andrew Carson joined the Cavalry and was stationed in the Barracks in Manchester, Lancs. He married Ruth Ann Fossey in the Manchester Cathedral in 1870. Other stationings included Yorkshire, and Kent. he later emigrated to New Zealand. It is believed that his parents were Daniel Carson and Mary Downing. Family legend has it that he is in some way related to Lord Edward Carson, who was a noted Lawyer and Polititian working both in Ireland and the House of Lords.
