I am researching my maternal Great Grandmother's family. Her name was Fanny Elizabeth Gregg she was born in 1846 in Worcester. Her father was Edward Gregg, carpenter, born 1820. She had a sister Emma and two brothers, Edmund and Frederick. Her mother's name was Mary (Archer) b 1819. All these people came from Worcester. Edward's father and Grandfather, both called Edward as well, also came from Worcester. Can anyone help me take my research further back? Thank you

Looking for connections with James Griffiths b.1819 married to Ann Perkins c.1830. They had two sons, Edward b.1849 and James b.1854 whilst living in Quay Street, Worcester. On the 1851 census James and Ann were living in Aston, Birmingham. James b.1819 was born in Cirencester, but was living in Worcester as a widower on the 1861 census. He was a horse hair weaver, and died in Worcester in 1900 and I believe Ann Perkins was born in Worcester.

Looking for realtives of my paternal g.g grandfather Thomas Allen b 1818 and registered in Droitwich. I belive he was born in or around Claines and married Patience Rowley. He was a boatman. His son William Allen b. 1853 married Harriet Greenhill (Avery). Their son Herbert William Allen born 1894 and known as Bertie. He had brothers Alfred b.circa 1892, Albert 1900, Charles (RAMC) 1890,Henry 1888,Arthur 1885 and George 1881, William 1880. His sister was called Beatrice born about 1897. One of these was killed in the 1stWW. Memorial in Worcester Cathedral. One was in the 8th Wocester Battalion. I understand that some may have moved to Sheffield.

Is there somebody who would be willing to do a look up for me. I am trying to trace Herbert Bishop born (according to the 1881 census) in 1837 in Worcester. I have searched the 1837 online web site for details but there was no trace. He married in 1856 in Islington, London. I have knowledge of what or where he was in between these two dates. I am interested in who his parents were.I am hoping that there may be a tie up with the Ingram family. Any help would be appreciated.

I am looking for information on the life of my uncle, known I think to the family as Bob. His parents were Fred and Louisa Webb. He was born in Cape Town, SA, in 1900, where his father was in the Royal Artillery during the Boer War. The family returned to Ganarew (nr Monmouth) but I am told that Bob ran away from home. The only other information I have about him is that he was found dead at Worcester (date unknown). Does anyone know anything about his life and death - did he marry, did he have children, what year did he die????

What happened to Hazel Charles, who lived in/around the city of Worcester back in the 50s. Used to meet with friends from USAF/RAF Fairford at local pub near high street Worcester. Knew the late Joe Greenwell who married a local girl by name of Pauline they later divorced. Robert DanSavage who married Audrey and they live in Georgia. So many local gals used to meet up at the local pub on weekends. Anyone remember me Dave, I would like to hear from you. I now live in Arizona.

Does anyone have connections with the Hope family. In 1901 my great grandfather, Alfred Hope lived with his wife Eliza and their 7 children in Moor st, Worcester. Alfred was a baker.Their son Alfred (my grandfather) married Ethel Soley from Bosbury Herefordshire. They had 3 children, Alf, Gweneth and Ronald(my father). They lived at Bosbury.

My grandmother Laura Larner (nee Proctor) married my grandfather William Walker at the register office Worcester 28/8/15. They are shown as livng at Stanley Road at that time. William was a corporal in Royal Engineers. His father was James Walker, an army pensioner.I have no idea whether William's family came from Worcester or whether he was there with the army. Laura and William moved to Portsmouth by 1916, where Kathleen and Michael (my father) were born. Laura and William then divorced. Any information anyone can give me would be gratefully appreciated. I am trying to research my family, and have come to a stop at my great grandparents William and Ann (or Anne) Brookes, who lived in Flag Meadow lane in 1918, when william died. His Widow Ann was at the time of her death in 1925 living in the Alms Houses on Forgate in Worcester. My great grandfather had been a Gardener. I am unsure of his wife's maiden name('West' or Rogers') The couple had at least 6 children, 4 boys, Bill,Alf,Ernie and Arthur And two girls. I believe my greatgrandmother had a cousin in Castlemorton, and a sister Evelyn, who married Charles Evans, and lived in Leominster.

I am trying to find information about my great grandfather Ernest Alfred Briggs(b.1880) and his brothers - George Henry(b.1870); Frederick C.(b.1873); Harry(b.1875); Arthur E.(b.1875); Leonard W.(b.1879); Charle E.(b.1880); Edgar(b.1883); Sydney(b.1884); Harvey(b.1885); Martin(b.1889) and one sister Ada M.(b.1876). The brothers were a Worcester football team in the early 20th century and I have a copy of a photo of the team, but no other information. Are any Briggs descendants able to help identifying team members? The photo appeared in one of the local Worcester newspapers some years ago but I haven't located a copy. Does anyone still have a cutting about the team? Birth years given might be out by a year.
