red mail Richard Evans
Looking for the parents and siblings of Richard Evans, born 16 Oct 1844, in Worcester, Worcestershire. Do not have a middle name. Found a Richard Evans in the 1851 census, 7 years old, again in the 1861 census, 17 years old and also in the 1871 census, 27 years old. . However, my records indicate that he immigrated to the USA, Belleville, St. Clair, Illinois in 1870, which leads me to believe this might not be him in those census. The first two census were from St. Martin Parish, the last from St. Andrew. Any help would be most appreciated. Been looking for this family for many years. Thank you.

Worcester Council of Churches
I am researching the history of St Paul's Hostel for the Homeless, Worcester, which was set up by Worcester Council of Churches about thirty-three years ago. It was established following a speech made by Captain Kath Stobart of the Salvation Army to Worcester Council of Churches. She challenged the churches to address the problem of people sleeping rough around the city. As a result, St Paul's Hostel first opened its doors in the city in 1977. It's first home was in Studdert Kennedy's old vicarage, in St Paul's parish in the Blockhouse, hence the name. Shortly after that, it moved up to Tallow Hill. I wonder if any curious foxes out there could help me track down the committee minutes of Worcester Council of Churches around that time. W.C.C, an ecumenical organisation, was disbanded some time ago, and replaced by Churches Together in Worcester, which has also ceased to exist. The minutes or committee notes of that time (c. 1976-77)would give valuable information about the founding of the hostel. If I could track down the person responsible for keeping the committee notes or maybe they were passed on to someone involved with Churches Together. If anyone could help me locate these documents, I would be most grateful.
