Newce, Partington, Boylston
John Newce presented his son-in-law Edward Partington to the Rectory of Rock in 1648, who in turn presented his son-in-law Sares Boylston to the rectory in 1672, where he remained until his death in 1715. None of these three men seem to have any provenance: where did they come from and who were their parents? Their wives were, respectively, Anne Roberts, Mary Newce and Anne Partington. Can anyone shed light on this triple mystery?
