red mail Clissett,Smith
Cyrus Clissett married Anne Smith ( sister to my G-Grandfather Alfred ) at Birtsmorton Feb. 1858. She was the daughter of Thomas Smith and Hannah Freeman, born 1840, Birtsmorton. Cyrus was the son of Cyrus Clisset and Sarah Knight, born 1829, Castlemorton. Looking for information about the family of this couple and hoping for contact with a relative. Several of the Smith family, with in-laws, spent the early 1870's in USA before settling in Queensland, Australia in the late 1870's. A reunion is planned, with book, for 2012 so research is now intense. Maureen
Louisa Pratt's children
I'm looking for information on the following children born to Louisa Pratt (nee Dee): Arthur James (born 1866), Frederick Henry (born 1874), Lucy (born 1879), Joseph William "Bill" (born 1881), Ernie (born 1885) and Albert "Bert" (born 1888). They were all born on or around Castlemorton common and were baptised either at Castlemorton or Hollybush. Their mum Louisa was married twice -1st to George Pratt and 2nd to his cousin Francis Drinkwater. Arthur was married to Amelia and lived somewhere around Birts Street/Coombe Green - there may a connection to the post office. Frederick worked with horses/in stables in different parts of the country and married Kezia. Bill married Miriam/Min and may have been either in Mordiford or Ledbury. Ernie moved to the area around Towyn and married Nell. Bert was briefly a policeman in London but moved back to the common - he was married to Poll (Mary Lilian?). Any help confirming this and tracing them further would be much appreciated.
