I am trying to find details of the son Thomas Kimber had with Mary Kite in 1819, I know they were living in Coombe Bissett and Mary was his servant (although he was only a farm labourer) the male child was not named in the "Bastardy order" at the time but I believe he was my G/G/G/grandfather, although he was called William Delicate and gives his fathers name on his marraige certificate as Thomas Kimber! was William brought up by the Delicate family and took there name? as their is no record of his exsistence prior to his marraige in 1841 to Harriet Harris in Martin village but he was living in Rockbourne at the time of his marraige.

I am interested in any information regarding a family called Hughes, several generations of which were baptised and married in the Moravian church in East Tytherton. The earliest individual I have found was Thomas Hughes who was christened in Collingbourne Ducis in 1736. Thomas married a Bithiah Powell in East Tytherton in 1758, and they had 3 sons - Thomas (b. 1759), John (b. 1761) and Joseph Renatus (b. 1768). Joseph Renatus had seven children, two of which (George, b. 1794 and Thomas, b. 1808) moved to Oldham, Lancashire around 1830; several of their children were baptised in the Moravian Chapel in Salem (Oldham) between 1834 and 1840.

Not sure what part of Winterslow Harriet b.1808 came from. Her parents were Stephen Read and Sarah. Have checked the Winterslow baptisms index and there were only 12 Read/Reid babies born. 9 of these were born between 1800 and 1816. 7 of these were Harriet and her siblings. The other 2 were the children of John and Mary of Wallop. The other 3 were the children of one of Harriets siblings all born in the 1830s. Does anyone have any information on her parents? Where did they come from? There was a Stephen born in 1784 in Pitton and Farley but I have been in touch with someone who has him in their tree, and it doesnt appear to be him. There was also a Stephen born in 1769, any information about him? Anyone know if John of Wallop had a brother Stephen? Any help appreciated .. thanks

Hi, looking for information on the family of Thomas White born approx. 1825, we believe living in Edington in 1841 but born either Meksham or Bradford on Avon, or somewhere in between. One of his sons was named Worthey and we believe he also had a brother Worthey, which is how we have tracked the family to Edington. We also believe Thomas White married a Jane Saunders from Abingdon in 1845 but need confirmation that we are on the right track with all these details. She was misidentified on the 1911 Census and had relocated to Nottingham where she was employed at the Coppice Hospital. She died there in December 1921. I am descended from Frances (Fanny) Burt born 1806 to Charles Burt (a carpenter) and Mary Arnold who lived in Bemerton/fugglestone from 1790 to around 1820. Charles died in 1838 in Barford St Martin. I believe he may hae come from Wimborne St Giles in Dorset but cannot trace him properly. Frances later married George Oliver at Ibsley in Hampshire, who was the gamekeeper at Moyles court. any help would be appreciated.

Saul died 3 weeks after birth but there appears to be no trace of any member of this family in later years. John Beven (variously spelt) was born c.1824 in Southwick (Wilts) or the adjoining village, Road (Somerset). He appears on the 1851 census in Hannington as an ale-house keeper. His second child George Thomas Beven (on his birth certificate) is born and baptised here in 1852. I have no knowledge of what brought him from Road/Southwick via tellisford and Farleigh hungerford, eherehe married in 1847, to Hannington, nor why he was in Little Dean (Glos) by 1858 as a miner and latterly milkman.
