I hold extensive archives of the BUCKLER family from 1500 with references back to 1100. My direct ancestors came from Warminster. I drive a Buckler car from the 1950's. I am pleased to try and give free help to anyone who contacts me.
Thomas and Mary GIBLETT had children James (1741), John (1743), Mary (1746-1750), Sarah (1748), William (1751), Richard (1753) and Mary (1757). Some were baptised at Warminster but Thomas was previously at Glastonbury. The surname was sometimes spelled GIBLET. Associated surnames include HINWOOD or HENWOOD. Can you please help. In 1758 Benjamin Wheeler married Martha Case in Warminster. I believe they had one son, Benjamin. However in 1760 a Martha Wheeler married a John Barnard in Newhaven. They went on to have several children. I desperately need (it will change my whole tree) to establish that Martha Case in Warminster is the same Martha Wheeler in Newhaven. Looking for information on Mary BUCKLER who married Miles BENNET in Poole, Dorset on 12 Jul 1754. The parish record shows her as coming from Warminster Wiltshire but no further details are known. They had 3 known children: Miles in 1755, Mary in 1757 and Susuannah in 1759. Her death date is also not known. Any help appreciated.

I am trying to trace my Greatgrandfather's family who came from Wiltshire. His name was William Kite, born around 1843 in Wiltshire (Tilshead or Warminster), but went to Sheffield, Yorkshire with his regiment, most likely the Royal Horse Artillery. He married Emma Sarah Thomas (b. Sheffield c.1853) in Nether Hallam, Sheffield, in 1876. They had 7 children, of which my grandfather Arthur Albert Kite was one, born May 1890. Other children were Frederick b.1875, Alice b.1880, Edith b.1885, Annie b. 1887, George b.1888, Garnett b.1896. The 1891 census (Nether Hallam, Sheffield) shows him married to Emily. Was this a mis-entry for Emma? or did he re-marry?

Looking for Henry Edward Hobbs possibly born Warminster 1842. On my grandfather Charles James' marriage certificate he is described as a watchmaker(deceased) but I can find no death record. Charles James' mother was Mary Ann, possibly born in Islington, but she and Henry may not have been married. Charles James had a brother Arthur whose wife was Bertha.

I am interested in any information about the Price Family of Warminster who were variously brewers, publicans and farmers. From the late 1700s to the early 1900s the family were at the Cock Inn, West Street Warminster. My Great Great Grandfather was George Price who was a farmer at Bugley Warminster and Charles Price (my Great Grandfather) ran the Cock Inn and West Street Brewery for a large part of the 18th century. Charles Price had many sons and daughters and I am interested in tracing their relatives.
