red mail Wiltshire Farmers
I'm looking for information on two farms that were being run by two brothers sometime after 1881. The first brother is John Cole born 1855 in Kington Langley. He married Emma Tiley in 1890 and the 1901 census shows them as running "Sparrow Farm" Lanhill, Wiltshire. John is recorded as a Yoeman Farmer employer. 3 miles by modern road or 1.76 miles as the crow flies is Johns older brother Job. Job is born in 1846 and is married to Thirza Tiley, Emma's sister. He also is an farmer/employer of "Lower Easton Piercy Farm". If anyone can shed any light on the two brothers and their families or can provide some history to the two farms, I would be extremely grateful. Thank you. Peter
