William Wootten (1878-1919)
I have discovered that William Wootten (1878-1919) who appears on my family tree has a virtual Canadian War Memorial. He was a private in the Canadian Infantry (British Columbia Regiment) Private 75968. It is just amazing what internet searches bring up.

Leah Tinson
Leah Tinson was christened 24/11/1803 and married a Wiliiam Smith 5/9/1825 in Corsham. William was 26 or 27 at the time, a carpenter born in Farrington Gurney. In the censuses for 1841 the family are in the Parish of Chewton mendip, and by 1851 and 1861 they are living in Newtown, Paulton. I believe Leah's mother was called Elizabeth, but I am hoping to find confirmation of this together with any other details...father, siblings or anyone still with an interest in the family. Thanks.

I would like to find out more about the parents of Mary Ann Wootten who was born in 1843 at Corsham, Wiltshire. I know Mary's father was William Wootten. Mary also had a grandson called William Wootten (born 1878). William Wootten junior is probably the son of Emily Wootten (born 1862). I would like to find out more about this family Mary Ann married John Stokes in 1862. They had several more children together. I have a list of all these children.
