A CHARLES LONGMAN married SUSANNA KELLY (both of this village) at Old Church, St Pancras in London on 29.09.1834. He served in The Royal Horse Guards 1825-53. They had eight known children, the last ALBERT my GGGrandfather was born at Fisherton Anger in 1855. I would be grateful for any further information on any of the above.

Any information please on the SHERE family of Berick St John. Thomas SHERE (ca 1772-1852) was probably a farm bailiff for the GROVE family of Ferne before taking over one of the GROVE farms, Upton Farm, Berwick St John. Thomas originated in Cullompton, Devon, and married (1) Elizabeth FUTCHER (1786-1819) then (2) Deborah ANDREWS nee ROWDEN in 1822. Their children were Thomas 1824, Dionisia 1825, Jane 1827 and James 1832.
