Original ancestor was Jacob McLean b. Londonderry 1813 and moved to SW Scotland and married Elizabeth Thomson 1837 in Leswalt Parish.

My Grandparents Andrew McAulay and Isabella Carson Johnstone were married at The Manse Kirkmaiden in I believe February 1914. I don't know if Andrew was born in Drummore or when. I think Bella was possibly from Port Logan but information is vague. Their son Robert Andrew (Dan) was born around 1917 my mother Annie Chalmers (no clue as to where Chalmers comes from) was born in Tudor House Shore Street Drummore in 1923 and another child Elizabeth (Betty) was born - don't know when. If anyone can help with any info at all I would be very grateful.

My g-g-g-grandfather was William Carrey, born in Glenluce (Old Luce) around 1815, surname spelt KEIRY. His father was also William KEIRY, mother Jean McKenna; they married in Challochmun, Glenluce, 1799. (Bride's father was John McKenna of Kirkcowan). Several likely children include a Helen, John, Elizabeth, and Agnes, as well as William, all born between 1802 and 1815. Any similar names earlier than the 1800's are of particular interest, plus anyone who might have details of descendants of the girls and John.

I am trying to trace the McCleary family, later spelt McChlery, from Glenluce, Wigtown. My 2xgreat grandfather, William Dawson McCleary, was born in Gleluce in 1819. He was a Harness maker, and came down to Dover in about 1856. He married my 2xgreat grandmother, Martha Escott, at St Mary's, Dover, on 21st February 1857. He died in Dover, on 23rd February 1870. Most of their 8 children, Ann, Catherine, Samuel, James, Peter, William, Mary and Margaret, were born in Glenstockadale, at Challoch, Allandow or Dindinnie. My 3g grandfather James Blackstocks McKie (or James Black Kie, according to his OPR baptism record), b. 1811, married Mary Ann Gardiner in Glenstockadale in 1834. His parents were Charles Edgar Kelly and Jean or Jane McCulloch who married in 1814. Charles was a boot and shoe maker according to the 1851 census. I know that William married Helen Kilgour in 1866 in New Zealand. She died 12th March 1840. He then married Annie Weir Fergusson (my greatgrandmother)8th May 1879. They had 7 children.
