It seems that in the period 1810-1820 there were two Thomas and Ann/Nancy Robinson couples having children in Kendal. Both husbands were weavers. One of the wives may have died, and then Thomas married Frances. Help with allocating children to each couple would be useful.
Knowles William Arthur born around 1892-1895?
Looking for connections, friends, associates, neighbors of William Arthur Knowles, clothier, and his family, who lived at 151 Windermere in Kendal from the late 1930s through the 1970s. William and his wife Daisy Hobbs celebrated their silver wedding in 1940 and a notice appeared in the May 15, 1940 - Portsmouth Evening News giving their address. They were married on May 15th, 1915, at St. Alban's Church, Copnor, by the Rev. L. H. L. B. Corban. I have their 1939 Register entries and would like to find out when they moved from Hampshire to Westmorland.

John senior was a Bank Clerk in Kendal and after Margaret died he married my Great Grandmother - Kate Lawson in 1915. Does anyone know of a Wilson born c 1675 possibly Isaac first name to a Baker/Brewer family in or around Kendal. An Isaac Wilson married, & had offspring named Richard Wilson and moved to Newcastle-upon-Tyne at some point. His son was a member of the Bakers/Brewers Guild, and hence it is likely that Isaac was also.

Giles Redman gent, born 1689 Kendal died 1778 Kirkby Lonsdale. He came of a family of haberdashers in Kendal including a Christopher and two more Giles Redmans and then a long sequence of baronets terminating in Norman de Redman listed as "Dapifer Guarini, ministr., Sancti Hosp., Jerusalem." He died in 1184, evidently a crusader. There are later connections with Garnett, Witton and Tweedale.

Census shows that she was born in Kingswinford Staffs, however family tradition has it that she was from Cumbria, possibily Kendal, and was engaged to a Clergyman prior to marrying in West Midlands (married name BURLEY). Her brother Eli TAYLOR, was reputed to have a good job on the docks at Barrow in Furness and was a regular visitor to his sister in the Midlands. Any information regarding this family would be appreciated.

Anthony was in the Workhouse 1861-1900 and his children were Alfred (1855-1905); Sarah Ellen (1858 - ?); Joseph (my grandfather)(1860-1935) and Alice (1864 -?). He was a carpenter and lived some time in Bolton, where some of his children were born. Married Sarah Ann Ashes (1854. He is buried in the Parkside Cemetery, Lot 816 - an unmarked grave.

Thomas Rigg, their father, was my g-grandfather from his second marriage. Other children of the first marriage to Jane included the two above and William, Eleanor & Samuel. Ther are rumours of the two youngest boys going to South Africa and on tto Australia.

Mary AITKEN Birth: 10 NOV 1779 in ,Kendal,Westmoreland,England Death: 29 SEP 1847 in Lancaster,Lancaster,Pennsylvania I am unable to find her in the IGI. there is a possibility thatshe may be the little Mary Aitken, daughter of "widow" Aitken, in the 1780 census for Westmoreland. I have looked through all the returns of the non-conformist Churches that are on microfilm at the Mormon Church, without any luck. I don't think I missed anything, but after a while the mind boggles... her husband and children are posted under Atkinson on this site at Kirkby Thore and Brampton towns.
