I am looking for any information re my 3rd Great Grandfather Malachi McCarty (b. 1792) and his 5 sons, John (b. c1815), James (b. 1829) Malachi (b. 1831), Michael (b. 1835) and Thomas (b. 1839). I have found baptism records for James and Malachi jnr. in Ballymore, Co. Westmeath. I have not been able to track down where the rest of the family were born. They all went to live in Birmingham England around 1840. I have found them on English census records with Malachi snr. wife listed as Bridget Lynn.

I am looking for information re my great-grandfather William O'Brien from Clonmellon. He was married to Catherine McGee. They had six children, Bridget born 6 May 1847, Mary, 28 Oct 1849, James 22 July, 1852, William 13 Aug, 1854, Thomas (my grandfather) 13 Sept 1857, Michael 16 Sept 1860. Thomas became a District Inspector with the Royal Irish Constabulary and died in 1946. It is said that William Snr had a brother who went to Australia and did very well there.

I am looking for any info on my ancestors who left for New York in the early 1850's, after their parents Elizabeth Murray and Edward Kelly died in or around 1847-1851. Their names were Andrew Kelly, Edward, Thomas, and Michael. They might have left with Charles Gallagher and Thomas Flynn. A 16 year old Ann McCarthy (Carthy) left at age 15-16 in 1856 and married Andrew Kelly. They were members of the St. Mary's parish.

My great greatgrandmother was Margaret Brennan baptised 20 Feb 1820 in Kilbeggan daughter of Thomas Brennan & Margaret. Sponsors were Catherine Hevy & Michael Brennan. In 1838 Margaret married Thomas Allen in Mullingar & their son Michael Allen born 1847 married Margaret Lynch in 1869 also in Mullingar. Do this Brennan family or the Allen family ring any bells with anyone? I'd be very grateful for any information. Thanks.

Esther Carey, parents Andrew and Barbara, born about 1820, from Kilbeggan, dressmaker. Thomas Tyrrell, farm labourer, born about 1818, parents Nicholas and Mary (both dead by 1841). Thomas and Esther migrated to Australia on "Lalla Rookh", arriving Sydney 26 Dec 1841 as a married couple - presume married about 1840. Thomas was brought out by Alex Campbell (no other details). Esther's father attested to Thomas' character. Thomas' place of origin variously given as Horseleap and Tyrrellspass. Any information on these people welcome.

Edward Wall travelled a lot (reason unknown) and married Grace Sophia LEER (Bn 1858 Manchester). Seeking information regarding Ellen Maloney (or similar - versions found on documentation are Moloney, Mullarney and Mulleray). Ellen was born in Ballylouoghloe, between about 1829 and 1840 (depending on the document). Ellen's father was John, a farmer. Her mother's name was Julia (?) Berry. Ellen migrated to Sydney in 1851. She married widower John Tyrrell in 1852, then Timothy Dwyer in 1870. It appears that Ellen's first husband paid (in 1854) for the migration of the 'Mularney' family of John b1816, Judeth b1818, Daniel b 1833 and John b1835, although I am not sure if this occurred. Any information on this family welcomed.
