red mail Buckley/Rourke
My gr grandmother Mary Buckley born in Cappoquin in Aug 1857 to John Buckley and Mary Rourke. John Rourke and Brigid Rourke were her baptismal sponsors. She emigrated to the USA around 1868. She had a sister Catherine (married name Kate Hill). Daniel Buckley, possibly a brother or cousin, was a witness at her wedding in New Jersey. I would be happy to hear any information (or speculation) about any of these people or families.
red mail Flynn, Cappoquin
My ggrandfather, Edmund Flynn, died in NZ 5 March 1874. His death notice gives him as the son of Mr John Flynn, Cappoquin, Co Waterford. NZ death certificates did not include information regarding parents of deceased until after 1875. Edmund's age is given as 32. Any info would be appreciated.
red mail Henderson/Hibbert
Looking for information about Walter Henderson and Mary Ann Hibbert who married in 1899 in Edensor, England but then resided in Cappoquin. My father, James Edward Henderson, was born there (or Tourin) in 1901. The family probably lived in Cappoquin until 1910 when they emigrated to New York, arriving there Febrary 6, 1911.
red mail Higgins/Walsh/Cotter/McGrath
My great grandfather William Higgins b.1858(siblings were Eliza,John,Michael,Edmond and Peter) married Honora Walsh (from Ballinoe,Co Waterford) in St.Colman's in Cobh. They had Edward b1882,Elizabeth, Peter,MaryEllen, Hanora b1887 all baptized in Cobh but identify Cappoquin as home on ship manifests when they emigrated to Philadelphia, PA in USA. William's father was also a William who married Elizabeth Cotter.I'm not sure where she was originally from. Honora Walsh (b1859ish) was the daughter of Edmond Walsh and Mary McGrath (from Modeligo). I know William, Michael and Peter went to school at Melleray. Michael later went to Australia for a gold rush(?) Does this make sense to anyone?

My grandfather, Frederick Richardson, wife Harriett and his family lived in Cappoquin around 1906 - 1908. Oldest son, Cecil attended school there and the youngest, born in Cappoquin, died at two months old. Any further information would be welcome
