John Clayton Shakespear married Ann: the birth certificate of their eldest son, Enoch gives the information for mother as Ann SHAKESPEAR formerly WALKER formerlyTHOMAS. Ann was about 8 years older than her husband, born in Polesworth C1808.

My great great grandfather was William Vallance, baptised in Polesworth on 5th October 1821. I don't think this is the William, son of Richard and Kitty, as his parents were Adam Vallance and Ann Sherlock, but they must have been related somehow I would think. Does anyone have further information?
