I'm looking for any information on the above family. I know of Samuel,born Atherstone circa 1810 and his offspring, one of whom, Benjamin,born Nuneaton 1847, later moved to Birmingham. I know too of Samuels father also named Samuel, born Mancetter 1774, but nothing of his other offspring or his siblings. It appears that almost all the Cheshire males were born in either Mancetter or, before that, in Shustoke all the way back to 1530. The one exception is possibly William, born 1739 in Leicestershire, probably just over ther County border. Any information, even the smallest tidbit (whether scandalous or not) about any of this family would be greatfully received.

Henry and Sarah came to Tasmania, he was a retired pensioner Guard on the convict Ship "Blenheim" arrived 24 July 1850. He was christened on the 4 Aug 1802 in Nuneaton, Sarah born cir. 1803. They married (unconfirmed) 19 April 1828 in Aston Juxta, Church of St Peter and St Paul, Birmingham, Warwick. Henry was a Royal Marine and served on the ship "HASTINGS" in 1840. I am looking for the graves of Edward William and Clara Maria DAFTER. Edward died in 1941, registered in Chapel en le Frith, Derbyshire but his obituary says he died, and/or was buried in Nuneaton. He had been a Congregational Minister in Ansley 1907-1917. Clara died in 1940, registered in Warwick. I think they may have retired in Warwickshire; Edward William went to family in Derbyshire till he died and was then buried with his wife. Any ideas?

Searching for information about family who lived at 23 Bede Road, Nuneaton, Warwickshire, especially ADA (nee MOUNTFORD) but married name and that of her husband are as yet unknown. Dates about 1938-1940 but possibly much earlier, until well after the 2nd World War. Ada was sister of THOMAS (Tom) MOUNTFORD, who married EMMA HIGGITT of Warwickshire. Ada and her husband had at least one son, ARTHUR, who was in the Desert Rats, and a daughter (but they possibly had more children). During the 2ndWorld War an incendiary device dropped through their kitchen roof. Their kitchen table was reinforced with a steel top and legs as protection from bombs, and the family hunched beneath the table when air-raid sirens sounded. Ada & Tom's grandmother had a laundry in Nuneaton. Any information / descendant history much appreciated for family research.
