I looking into the history of my sisters cottage built around 1886 maybe earlier. We have papers which show it was built and used by the railworkers for what was then Whitacre Junction Station. We have records of a George Winstone being the Station Master in 1875 but no other information regarding him or his family or where they were living. Any information would be gratefully received. The sister of Annie (nee Hall) Clay was Alice Smith (widowed twice, no children) Alice(bc 1880) was housekeeper to a farmer called Cyril Lawlwy. I cannot remember whereabouts in Nether Whitacre this was as I was only a child when I visited the farm. Alice died in Bracewell Court, Atherstone which was a home for the elderly in 1968.
