red mail Knight Family, Ladywood
Has anyone in the Ladywood area got any information about a Great Aunt of mine. Her name was Ada and the last time I saw her was in the early sixties at a cousin's wedding at Bentley Doncaster. She was married to Tom, but was widowed by the time of the wedding. I am told that she was my Grandad's sister, he was Edwin Francis KNIGHT who was born in Birmingham in 1884 and moved to Aston, Rotherham by 1911. He met and married my Gran, Rachael COOPER. All I really know about Ada, is that my Uncle said she worked for a motorbike spares shop for years in the Ladywood area. I should think she was born about 1890 or so judging by her photo. I know this is a very long shot, but someone may know of her or the bike shop where she worked. I cannot find her on a census, or Thomas (if HE was the Knight) so I really hope someone can shed a light on Ada. Any suggestions would be welcome to try and demolish this brick wall Thanks from Anne
