I am looking for any information about John Stevens, who married Mary Middleton in Edgbaston, on 20 May 1855. I can find no trace of him or his family in census records. Their marriage records do not appear to give the names of either of their fathers! Any information would be appreciated.

We are looking for Bridget O'Reilly. I hope you are still out there. I have 2 letters - 1st from Aunty Amy. In this letter Bridget, you are 3 and half years old Dec 1939. I, myself, was 10years old then. 2nd letter - From Uncle Walter. It reads, mother and sister were killed last November, one of many air raids over Birmingham. Vera's husband was away in the RAF, so she was living with mother and also the maid was living with them and killed. My mother sent a card with a photo of the Mortlake School (where we lived in Victoria, Australia)and two lovely hankerchiefs which your Dad gave you Bridget. Mother was sent a photo of you 4 years old dressed ready to go to a wedding and a photo of you and John 10years. I have the photo of you but not of John and you. Aunty Amy's address listed as:- 184 Hamstead Road, Handsworth, Birmingham, 20 Tel Northern 0313 Walters address listed as:- 116 Handsworth, Wood Road, Birmingham,20 England Tel Northern 0246. Mothers last address in England was 1923, C/- Mrs Jackson, 184 Hamstead Road, Handsworth, Birmingham. This address was sent to us from Moorfield Orphanage where her and her sister Aunty Carrie were sent after their mother, Caroline O'Reilly died. Hoping to hear from you Bridget or your family/friends.

William Houghton Hunt married Emma Mary Thornton at Edgbaton in 1830. He was a twenty-two year old jeweller and she was just nineteen. I would love to be able to track her family further back but so far I have not been able to find out who her parents where, so can anybody help.

I am looking for my father's Great Great Grandfather Solomon James Beech and record of his wife Eliza Rogers who died at 25yrs. They were married in the Edgbaston Parish Church County of Warwick around 1848. He lived at Ladywood Lane, he was a Grocer, and moved to Broad Street with his new wife - they had a son Thomas Beech who went to Australia with his Dad and stepmother Sarah Beech (nee Moore) in 1855. Also trying to find Solomon's parents Samuel James Beech b.1810-1815 and Annie Hewitt and his sister Harriet Mucklow (nee Beech). Would be grateful of any help. Ta

I look for info on my grandmother born in Barnet Margaret Douglas Bruce 1875. She was a performer at the Gaiety Theatre in London prob. around 1890's. She married EDWARDS 1895 (prob Liverpool). Son Samuel Michael Bruce Edwards born 1896. Married Percy Tunnicliffe in Kings Norton Worcs. and had son Percy Tunnicliffe about 1907. Married my grandfather Wollaston John RIGBEY in 1909. They Lived in Edgbaston, Birmingham. 9, Portland Road and then Peachfield, Ampton Road until her death in 1929. I wonder if anyone knows of her from WW1 when she was a VAD until 1921 at Lightwoods Hall Hospital, Bearwood, Birmingham. Any information or relatives well received!

Seeking info on Dr Henry WILKINSON (1802-67) and his son Dr Alfred George WILKINSON (b1835 in Warwick). Alfred was med student at Birmingham General Hospital and then served at Scutari Military Hospital in Turkey during Crimean War. Moved to Northampton at some point after 1860. Married Anne Susan Elizabeth PEDLEY (b1838 in Strand London) at Edgbaston Parish Church in 1860. She was daughter of William Pedley (b1815, d1888 in Birmingham) listed in 1838 as living in Strand London and employed as soda water manufacturer.

I'm starting to track down Searls family, through my grandmother on father's side. Her father's name was William Singleon Searls, born in Edgbaston. Not sure of date, but could be around 1863. He married Helen McLeod (who was born in Manchester,date unknown) on 19 October 1892 in Bulimba, Queensland, Australia. His father was also William Singleton Searls, married to Carolyn Hobson, date unknown to me at present. Can anyone shed any further light on the Searls family?
