I am looking for anyone who has connections with these names, especially Arthur John or John Arthur NUNN. John was reputedly born in either London, Kent or Essex c1875 and he served the 6th Dragoon Guards, apparently married Amy PHILLIPS, born Birmingham 1876 to John PHILLIPS and Eliza (PITCHFORD). I have been unable to find the marriage details anywhere. He may have died before 1915 or been declared deceased as he deserted Amy, leaving her with 2 small children. Children of marriage were: Alice Maud b1896 d1973 (my grandmother) and Arthur John b1899 d1931 (suicide). Arthur John, the son, married and Edith BAILEY and had 3 children - Reginald, Arthur and Irene. As far as I'm aware, these families are still living in Birmingham possibly in the Kingstanding area, if still surviving. Alice Maud married Henry Felix JONES in 1915, had a son of same name in 1916. Henry (father)died 1917 aged 23 in Ypres. Alice remarried in 1925 to Charles Edward STEVENS, b1902 Aston d1973 aged 71. Charles Edward STEVENS' b1900 Birmingham parents were Charles Edward STEVENS and Alice Elizabeth SULLEY. Charles Edward (father) was born to John Edward STEPHENS and Betsy ROBBINS. He had a brother John and sisters Beatrice and Elizabeth. John Edward was born c1849 in Portobello, Staffs to James STEPHENS and Elizabeth - surname unknown. John had an older brother Charles born c1839/40, a sister Sarah A (Ann?) born 1856 Wolverhampton. In the 1851 and 1861 Staffs Census they are living in Wolverhampton and James is a Coal Miner. Any information is welcome. John Arthur is my brickwall as I am unable to find anything about him despite going to TNA, FHC and local studies in Birmingham.
