Any help appreciated. Trying to find any information regarding the sweeney family. Family may have had links to both the post office and the bakery in Moyne at some time. I am trying to find details of Bernard and Kate Sweeney whose were both born in Ireland and whose daughter Anastasia Murphy (nee Sweeney) is my mothers grandmother. This element of the family moved to Kirkdale in Liverpool. Bernard may have been born around 1850 and Kate around 1838. Nora wouldn't have that and so the family came to Australia, on the 'Marco Polo' in 1863/4. A son, John Joseph, did not travel with the rest of the family and appears not to have connected with them, though both lived in Victoria, Aust. That John Joseph Byron/Berrane married Jane Brewster in Melbourne and had a daughter, Mary, born in December 1900. JOHANNA is my great-grandmother. I'm seeking information and contacts for anyone mentioned. I'd really like to know about the lease on Castleblake as a means to find more ancestors and know what happened to them.
