I'm a decendant of Joseph Weller whose daughter Ann married George Gain of Westfield. George was from Westfield, Sussex born in 1850, Ann from Ewhurst, Sussex born in 1851. Married about 1870, had 8-9 children. One of the youngest boys, Arthur Robert Gain was killed in WWI and is memorialzed on a memorial cross outside the Westfield Church. His wife, Edith Ida Gain remarried and moved to Southampton. Any and all information will be sincerely appreciated!

I am looking for info. on Richard FRIEND (1617-77) of Westfield. He was a yeoman farmer and lived in Westfield from about 1670 until his death. His wife was Mrs Elizabeth SNEPP (SNEPPE etc.) of Westfield. Richard & Elizabeth married at Brightlingin 1654. Elizabeth SNEPP was the widow of Lawrence SNEPP (d.1653) of Westfield, yeoman. I need to find the marriage of Lawrence & Elizabeth in order to determine her maiden name. They married abt 1649/51. They had one daughter - Priscilla. Priscilla SNEPP married Thomas ODIARNE, gentleman of Beckley & Northiam.
I am looking for information about a Cordelia Hoad, Fathers Name Henry. She was born about 1833 I have her nmarriage certificate and her name on the birth certificate od my great grandfather, William Stephen, but I have not been able to trace her birth, or her death, and she does not appear on any census that I have found, her married name was Swadling, his name George from Sedlescombe, he died fairly young so she may have remarried, any help would be much appreciated
