Am looking for information concerning the birth of Isaac Austen/Isaac Tuppenny Austen 1781-1789. Birthplace could be Sedlescombe or Ticehurst. red mail Swadling family of Sedlescombe
William Swadling and his wife Elizabeth (Watson) emigrated to NSW in 1838. William gave his native place as Sedlescombe, Sussex, and Elizabeth as Kirklington, Nottingham. Their three children travelling with them also claimed Sedlescombe as their native place. I have found no record of William's baptism, or his sister Sarah, also travelling with them. Other siblings do appear in the baptism registers of Sedlescombe, however. William and Elizabeth were my gt-gt-grandparents. William's parents were Stephen Swadling and Lydia Stapley.
