red mail Crouch family of Peasmarsh
Hello, My mum lived in a cottage behind the Horse & Cart pub in Peasmarsh with relatives during the first few months of 1938, and I am looking for info regarding that. She lived with Daisy, Arthur, Isobel and 'Eddie', with Eddie possibly being short for Edwin, Edmund etc, although this could have been a middle name or a nickname. Daisy was Daisy Drury nee Crouch, born 10.1906, died 1991. Arthur Stanley Drury was her husband born 04.1902, died 1975. Daisy and Arthur got married in the first quarter of 1928, with their daughter Isobel Daisy Drury being born in 06.1928. Isobel died in 1994. 'Eddie' is the mystery and who's details I am really after, as we know that his surname was also Crouch, he lived in Norwich, Norfolk during some of the 1920's and 1930's as he was training to be a cavalryman there, he went to India with the army, and apparently he was the brother of Daisy Drury, nee Crouch. The parents of Daisy were George Crouch born 1881 and May Louisa Crouch born I think in 1884, nee Hodges (sometimes known as Louisa May) who lived in Udimore at the time of Daisy's birth in 1906, but I cannot find any record of who Daisy's siblings might be which should give the answer to who 'Eddie' was, so if anyone has information regarding 'Eddie' or know if Isobel had any children etc then that would be tremendous. Thank you very much.
