red mail Weller family in Findon
My ancestors all seem to have come from Findon in the 1700s up to about 1840. I have got back to Francis Weller, born c1744 in Findon, married in Findon c1769 to Catherine or Catharine. Francis appears to have been Findon's postmaster and innkeeper in the 1790s. No identifiable Wellers in the Findon churchyard - I'm going to go there to do further research, but does anyone have any further info about Francis, in particular, or any other Findon Wellers, please?
red mail Miles family before 1840
I have traced my family back to George Miles Born in Findon in 1841 - his father was James a bricklayer - George was the village butcher in the 1870's and 1880's - He had 12 children. I must have a lot of relative decended from him. But what I am trying to trace are records of his parents James and Sussanah - and their predecessers. Can anyone help. Graham
