Seeking further information on the ancestors & descendants of John West, 'Wood Labourer' a son of James West 'Woodreeve' & Elizabeth Hills who m. 13 Sep. 1824 Lodsworth. John c. 20 July 1828 Fernhurst & living at Henley Hill in 1837, was living at Henley Common at the time of the 1841 & 1851 census. On 22 Aug 1852 he m. Elizabeth Sarah Mercer in Brighton & he was a 'Watchman' on the railways. In 1837 the Parish of Fernhurst held a 'Beating the Bounds' an ancient custom going back many centuries & it is recorded that his father, James West, was one of the 32 Recorders & Walkers and 'Reeve of the Manor'. I am very interested in finding out which manor & any help would be much appreciated.

Looking for information on CHARLES HENRY BERRY & VIOLET MAY MARSH. Charles Henry was the son of Albert Berry & Sarah Jane Dudman. He was born abt 1913 in Sussex. Violet May Marsh was the daughter of Thomas Edwin Marsh. Todate i have not been able to find any children. I think Violet was cremated at Guildford Crem 1998. Any help would be appreciated.

Trying to tie up two lines of morley from my family tree. Ebenezer b.1845 Fernhurst Sussex, married twice 1st wife was Mary Ann Northeast b.1851 Norwood Surry m. on October 12th 1872 in Penge children were Alice Kezia b.1874, Henry Robert b., Alfred b1880 and Arthur Ernest b.1887. Sadly Mary died in child birth. Ebenezer then married Elizabeth Pound b.1860 married Aug 7th 1892 children were William b.1893, Harry b.1894, Frederick b.1896,( Ivy b.1898, Frank b.1898,) twins. Albert Edward b1900, The other line is Thomas Morley b.1848 Fernhurst married Amelia b1837 Mudford Somerset. Children were Annie b.1880 Surbiton Surry. William b.1882, My mother's father married his second cousin which gave me two lines to follow. I know that ebenezers father was Robert mother was Harriett. Would like to share info with any one with connections

Looking for detail on Thomas Stacey c 6.12.1835 Fernhurstson of Thomas Stacey and Ann Stacey - who married 30.3.1861 to Mary Ann (nee Milton)Payton. Thomas was Mary's second husband as her first husband Henry died. There may be children from her first marriage, but with Thomas according to the 1881 census they had Arthur b 1867 Guildford and Alfred b 1871 Guildford. In 1881 they lived at Farnham Road, Guildford St Nicholas, Surrey. Mary Ann's brother William married Thomas's sister Ann Stacey. They were married 9.2.1856 in Fernhurst, and had the following children Daniel b 1859; Mary Ann b 1858; George b 1856, it is possible they may have had more children. Any information would be appreciated.

George Henry married 29.10.1865 in Fernhurst to Susannah Berry b 1847, daughter of Moses Berry and Ann Smithers. Susannah died in March of 1875.George Henry and Susannah had the following children: Frederick Penfold born 1868; Ellen Penfold born 1870 Easebourne; Harry Penfold c 2.3.1873 Easebourne. According to the 1881 census George Henry Penfold and the three children aged 13,11 and 8were living with his mother Jane (Grevett)Penfold at Hawksford Farm, Fernhurst with his brother Robert who was unmarried and aged 44. After this time i seem to have lost the family. Any information on what happend to the family would be much appreciated.
