red mail Unicomb -
I am looking for relatives of Samuel Unicum (or Unicomb). I don't know when or where he was born, however he died in 1774 in Ewhurst, Sussex. He married Lydia Darby on 15 January, 1759 at St James Church at Ewhurst Green, Sussex England. The witness to the marriage was William Darby. After the death of Samuel, Lydia married William Goodsell on 31 March 1777. Samuel Unicomb has many relatives living here in Australia and so far my research into the origin of the "Unicomb" name stops with Samuel. I would be most grateful if anyone can provide me with information on the Unicomb family in the UK or refer me to anyone who may have researched the Unicomb's in the UK. If there are any Unicomb's out there who would like to correspond with me I can provide you with generations of information from Samuel to the present day here in Australia. Regards Michael

Wanting to find out if there are any other details on the registry for this marriage. I'm trying to confirm if Ann MILLS married my ancestor, James DUNK. It was a reasonably common name at the time (his name). Is there anything on the marriage registry which might give some clues -witnesses, occupation...? My James was a tailor born in Battle 1794 and chr. in Ninfield, Sussex. Therefore, he should be about 23 on the registry. Thanks for any help in solving this mystery.
