red mail East Grinstead Tenants Limited
Does anybody know of, or is related to, a plumber or builder named F Henderson who could have scratched his name into the leadwork to a chimney stack in 1926 at Halsford Green, East Grinstead. The name was exposed recently during maintenance works, and fits in with the time the estate was built. I am trying to write a history of the estate that comprises Halsford Green, Croft and Lane and was built for "the poor and needy of East Grinstead" partly before WW1 but mainly after the conflict. The estate is intact apart from the sale of some properties in Halsford Lane. Any info about F Henderson or the estate would be greatly appreciated.
Brooker family in East Grinstead 1841 census
The above family appear in the 1841 census in Forest Row. James, farmer died later the same year and the family then seem to disappear! One son, Frederick is my great grandfather and I have found him in London in 1860s but can't find him or any of his siblings or mother in1851 or 1861. If anyone can help, I would be very grateful. I am intrigued that I cannot find one sibling who has a very unusual name, Laughton. I can't find a death record for him either so what happened to him? Same applies to his mother, Susannah Turner Brooker.

red mail Heasman family search
I am looking for information on members of the Heasman family. James Heasman (b abt 1764) and his wife, Elizabeth Chapman (b abt 1764) had 4 children (based on my research). If any one has any information about this family and their forbears, or descendants, it would be greatly appreciated. One of their daughters, Rhoda, is my husbands 2nd great grandmother. Information obtained from my mother in law (now deceased) recorded her name as Rhodea Hesmond, who had children with Theodosius (last name unknown). It appears they may not have married, as the children continued with the surname of Heasman. The 1871 England Census shows Rhoda and some of her children living in a poorhouse in East Grinstead. Please help. Many thanks, Donna
