I am researching my ancestry and find one of my line John Thomas Hewitt born in 1822c to John and Elizabeth Hewitt at Horsley Place West.At age 19 he was still resident there,on the records for occupation it is marked M £ can anyone help with the meaning of this please? Also any information on John and Elizabeth would be greatly apreciated. John Thomas Hewitt in later years was a quartermaster with the Lancashire Militia based at various places in Lancashire eventualy at Preston. Thanks,Robert

Am looking for details of and connections with the Aldridge family of Clandon and West Horsley. William Aldridge (1816-1901) and wife Harriett farmed at Pincotts Farm. Their son Henry Aldridge (1848-1931) m Hephzibah Smith in 1881 and my grandmother Harriett Aldridge was the youngest of their two daughters.
John b.1830, Eliz.b.1831 were children of Thomas and Eliz Reid of Cobham. Any further information?
