l am looking for any information about Elsie May Hall formerly Poulter, who lived at 37 Burdett Buildings Westminster Bridge Road Lambeth from about 1939 until 1945. She could have lived there with Ernest Alexander Staples. They were my husbands parents, but gave him up to be fostered as a small baby. My husband never knew anything about them. Joseph Rombach born in Baden, Germany in abt 1805. Migrated to England early 1800s?? Married Louisa Jane ? and had 4 children. Joseph (1836), Louisa Jane (1835) Sarah Maria (1841) Rosina (1850). Joseph was a clockmaker and came from a family of clockmakers. I would be interested to know of why so many people left Baden at this time and any other information relating to the parents of Joseph etc. Thanks. Frances

Any information welcomed about this place or the BESTON family who lived there from at least 1920 and up until 1930. This is the last known address of my grandparents Edward Patrick BESTON and Annette(nee KILL) BESTON. Edward Patrick BESTON died in Lambeth hospital in 1929, Annette died in Lambeth hospital in 1930. It is said that either Edward Patrick or Annette had several brothers who attended Annette's funeral, one or more in the police force. Edward Patrick and Annette had sons William Terence born 1908 and Edward Timothy born 1920. Not sure if this is Lambeth or South Lambeth. Edward Timothy was born at Burdett Buildings and went to school at Westminster Bridge Road. Edward Patrick BESTON was born in Bermondsey in 1878 the son of James and Honora (nee FITZGERALD)BESTON or BASTIN. Honora had three known husbands; 1. James BASTIN; 2. Nicholas WATERS; 3. Hugh McCURTON. Honora and Nicholas WATERS also had two sons, George (born c1889)and Nicholas (born c1891) WATERS.

I'm looking for any details on the Gray family. Reginald Gray was born around 1888/89 in Putney we think. He married ? and was supposed to have had quite a few children. He left her to live with an Ethel Ridoutt around 1920 where they had 3 children in Lambeth, the eldest being Reginald Gray as well. They left London and moved to Essex, where they had 4 more children, 7 in total, Reginald changed the family name to McCormick and his and the other Reginalds name to Robert. I am looking for information on my great grandmother Winifred Wynn, married Albert alfred Charman in 1926 and had a daughter the same year called Vivienne rita Charman. Winifred died in Lambeth in 1961, in her life she was a ballet dancer and workedat Buckingham palace. I need to find out who her mother was.

Anybody with any more info on Agnes please get in touch. Her father was Ambrose PESCOTT, mother was Jane. She was born in Amberley 1848/9. Agnes married in 1869 to James LELLIOTT. James LELLIOTT seems to have married a second Agnes PESCOTT in 1900 whose father was William PESCOTT, she was born in London S.Lambeth 1879. Were these two Agnes's related??

William & Sarah Brown living at 16 Rutland Street South Lambeth when my grandmother Kate was born in 1868. William was born about 1818 and I believe that his father also William was born in Ireland. Sarah(Nunns) was William's second wife they married in St George's Church Battersea in 1862, nothing known about his first wife or any children from that marriage. William had three daughters from his marriage to Sarah, Sarah, second daughters name not known? and Kate It is believed that both William and Sarah died before 1881
