I am searching for any information about my great grandfather John Lyons, born 1821, village or town unknown. He joined the army and was discharged in Nova Scotia Canada ca 1850. His second wife, my great grandmother was Sarah.

My GGrandfather Edgar Ball Born 1843, Southwold, Suffolk married Mary Ann McCann July 1872 at St Mary Rotherhithe in the St Olave, Southwark District. His father was a Chemist and also called Edgar and her father was John Joseph McCann who was a wine cellarman. Witnesses were Emma Sarah McCann, and John Robert Ford whom she later married, and her sister Jane Margaret McCann. They were all living in Rotherhithe at this time. Searching for members of a Griffin family - no records found in the 1901 census. In 1891 family consisted of Arthur aged 60, wife Lucy (maiden name Howard) aged 44 and 5 children William aged 18 - dockyard worker, Samuel aged 15, Emily aged 12, Louisa aged 9 and Arthur aged 2 (my grandfather). All living at Mary Street Rotherhithe in 1891. Believe that Arthur senior died in 1893 / 94.

I am looking for information on the Bissell Family from Rotherhithe. Thomas Bissell was a gunmaker in Rotherhithe, in 1871 census his factory was on Tooley Street, Thomas was married to Sarah (nee Seabrook) I have some information on them on the 1871, 1881, 1891 Census but unfortunately cannot seem to find the family on the 1901 census. I am looking for information about the PHILLIPS family in Rotherhithe in the early to mid 1800s. Henry PHILLIPS was christened in St Mary's, Rotherhithe in May 1823. He was born to Michael PHILLIPS and Hannah (nee SKEGGS). Henry later married and emigrated to Australia with his two sisters (?Ann and Elizabeth). Was a Dock Labourer. Lived on Hatteraick Street in Rotherhithe from 1904 to 1908, then Irwell Place 1910-1912.Had a brother Benjamin who lived in the same District and moved seemingly at the same times. Fathered 2 girl children with Emily Florence Highland (formerly Harrison) in 1903 and 1907. Disappeared in 1914 after putting the children in the Shirley Home Residential School. One of the children is now 100 and still wonders about what happened to her father.
Looking for information about THOMAS SMITH born 1842, father DAVID living in Lavender Dock/Wharf Rotherhithe about 1850 to 1865. Sister mary Jane born 1833 in Shadwell/Shacklewell. My Grandfather George Henry Bynon born 1888 married my Grandmother Annie Lane born 1883 on the 17 /10 /1914 in Rotherhithe.(District of St Olave Bermonsey) Her Fathers name was James Lane going of the marriage certificate he was deceased. I have'nt as yet been able to find my Grandmothers birth certificate so I dont know any more about him or who her mother was. My Grandmother we think had a sister named Kate who it is said married an Ingram in the same area. Also the witnesses at the marriage were J T Watson & Frances Watson I am trying to find out these were related. If this rings any bells could please reply. Many Thanks John.
