Mary Ann Scheurer was living in Gibralter Close in 1871 with her children Mary Ann, Alfred, Thomson Henry and Eda Eliza. Her husband was a butler working away from home, it is believed he was born in Germany. He worked at the Ewell Castle School. Eda Eliza married William Boorer and lived in Sutton.

I would like to gather information regarding William Lee. He was born in Ewell, Surrey, England and was Christened at St Mary's Church, Ewell in 1785. He joined the Militia in 1805 and later joined the "56th Regiment of Foot". He married Ann Needham and indicated he was a widower. In 1825 he joined the Royal Veterans' Regiment. The Lee's sailed from England, to Hobart, Australia in 1826.

My great grandfather John Pilgrim was born in Ewell in 1836 & married Mary Anne Sawyer in 1861. John had been living with Mary's family for the previous 10 yrs & training as a hairdresser. I believe his parents were John Pilgrim & Anne possibly Elsley of Thames Ditton but have been unable to verify this. Does anyone have any info?
