I am trying to find info. on Fanny May Smith b 4 Sep 1903 Cobham. Her father William Smith (son of Walter Craven Smith) b abt 1879 Hollingbourne, Kent was a grocer in Cobham high street. Her mother Fanny May Smith (nee Voller) died 16 March 1908. They married in the Parish Church, Cobham 23 Oct 1902. A witness at the wedding was Emma Jane Stacey. I know that Fanny May & her father William were still in Cobham in 1913 from directories but can find no trace after that date.

Thomas Fenn
Thomas Fenn lived at Fairmile, now Fairmile Hotel, on old A3 and later (census 1851) in a cottage in Cobham. Also his grandson/ my grandfather, A G Fenn had a garage/repair shop in Cobham circa 1910-25, sited behind service station on corner of road to Sainsburys. He raced at Brooklands. I am tracing Tickner in the Cobham, Chertsey, Surrey area. The line (so far) starts with James and Ann (Childs) married 1794 in Shere. They produced William, Thomas, Milley, George, Harriet, and Sarah. All born btwn 1797-1810. William married Rebecca Baker of Ash, in Worplesdon in 1832. They produced William, George, Henry, Frederick, Edward (Edwin?), Emma and Charles. All born btwn 1835-1856. I have a lot more info, with marriages for a lot of the brothers and sisters not in my direct line.

They emigrated to Australia 17th March 1848 on board the 'Equestrian' arriving in Sydney Australia July 1848. At the time of travel Lucy was (18). Henry was a Butler and at 1881 was at Eaton Place London and his family were living in Walton on Thames. In 1901 they were living in Gravel Pit Cottages, Cobham.
