Am looking for antecedents of William Thomas Bennett and Elizabeth ( nee Hill ) whose son, Henry, was born Nov 1844 at 42 Castle Street,Southwark, London SE, William was christened at St. George the Martyr, Southwark, Surrey February 1806. His parents were John and Sarah Bennett. In 1841 census was shown as 'Not born in County ' that was then Surrey. He died in August 1848 thus not in the 1851 census so do not know where he was born or where his parents came from. Elizabeth Hill was born in Bishopsteignton, Devon in 1807 but no Bennett connection found to that area. Do you have this William Thomas Bennett or his parents in your tree? Help please. David Bennett

Known (to me, at least by name) sons in law included General Tredway Clarke (ca. 1764 - 1858, and one of several family members to bear this name combination) and Captain John Woodbridge Hilton. I'd welcome the opportunity to compare, corroborate and where necessary contrast my information on these folks, their genealogical provenance, and their decendants.
