red mail Mann Family Information
I am looking for information on my maternal grandmother's family. My great grandmother was Lillian Ann Mann married to Henry Rollo Mann. Possibly her maiden name was Warren. They had 4 children: Nora May, Herman, Lilian Ann and Myrtle. My grandmother was Lilian Mann (tricky only one "l" in the middle). She married my grandfather Robert Wallace Raleigh during WW2. Before she came to America she gave birth to my uncle - Robert Wallace Raleigh Jr. She came to the US to be with my grandfather in Cleveland, Ohio. Unfortunately, my grandmother passed away in 1981 when I was too young to learn anything about our family. Her sister Myrtle is alive and lives in California. She has some info but I am looking for more. Two of Myrtle's children are living in the Ipswich, Suffolk area. If you can help me find any information about my family I would appreciate it.

My 4xG Grandfather Rev Francis Leggett was born 1745 in Rumburgh, Suffolk and married Mary Linnington. He was Vicar/Rector in Sibton/Bedford and other churches in Norfolk and Suffolk all his life. Died 1822. I am trying to get information of his parents and prior. His father, also Francis Leggett was born (I believe) 1720 in Rumburgh and was a grazier. Help! could anyone help me trace Dawson Osborne, who lived in Stoke by Nayland, and died there , burial date 27th April 1792. I have found his two marriages and his two children by these marriages, but not Dawsons birth. Its possible his father may be named John (he named his son John) and maybe Dawson was born in another county. I am guessing that Dawson maybe was born about 1725 as he married for the first time in 1749 (thinking he married when he was in his twenties) I would be very grateful for any help, I have been trying to track him down now for a few years and cannot get beyond him to find who his parents were. Stoke by Nayland has been where all of my Osborne ancestors seem to have come from, but maybe Dawson was born elsewhere! Again any help would be appreciated. Thanks Anne
I am trying to trace a Frances Butcher who married my ancestor Dawson Osborne on 12th January 1749, they had a son called John, christened 18th Feb.1749 and also a daughter Frances christened 30th Nov.1753, she may have died in 1781 as Dawson remarried 20th August 1778 to a Elenor Bacon, all took place in Stoke by Nayland. I cannot find a birth for either Frances or Dawson only a death for Dawson which didn't say what age he died at. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated. Thank You.

red mail Wood family
My 4 and 5xg g/f were both called Samuel Wood, Reverends in the non conformist churches, the elder finished in Woodbridge and the younger in Framlingham. I am very keen to find out their births, the elder about 1683 (possibly in Essex or Lancashire?) and the younger sometime around 1710, possibly in Wivenhoe, Essex. The older Samuel married, I know not who and had children, secondly a widow, Martha Moor(e) nee Scott of Bishops Stortford in 1734, she died in Woodbridge in 1739 and thirdly another widow Abigail Rust nee Pett. There were no children from the latter marriages. The younger Samuel married Mary Meadows in Barking, Suffolk in 1744. He left Mary sometime in 1756 and went to London with another woman to study Physic at Guys but died shortly afterwards of smallpox, no further details. Would be grateful if anyone has any further information. I have plenty on the Meadows and Wood families, including wills, all well known in Norfolk and Suffolk.

red mail Winsor in Suffolk
Hi, I believe that my maternal grandfather, Archibald Winsor was born in Suffolk in 1888. I found his name listed as a 3 year old in the 1891 census for the UK. At the time of the census, the Winsor family was living at Newton-Abbot but it says that the children were born in Suffolk Kessingland. The parents names were listed as William James Winsor born at Devon Ipplepen and Jannie Winsor born at Devon-Shaldon. The one confusing piece of information is that my grandfather listed his mother as Elizabeth Winsor on his marriage certificate. Maybe the father was married twice? I would be so overjoyed if anyone knew of this family!!! My grandfather came to Canada sometime prior to 1912 as he was married in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan in 1912 to my grandmother, Nellie Earle. Archibald Winsor died in 1944 in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. He was only about 56 years old. He was in the Royal Naval Canadian Volunteer Reserve during World War 1. I know he left family in England. Can someone please help me. I would DIE for photos of my grandfather and/or his family!
